Let’s get into it!
1. Debnise, welcome! With so many amazing passions, how do you manage to juggle them all? Is there a secret time-management power-up you’re willing to share?
Hello! Time is all about priorities! Juggling cosplay, digital art, traveling, and teaching might seem challenging, but when you’re passionate about something, you always find a way to fit it into your day.

2. What’s the most ridiculously uncomfortable pose you’ve ever had to hold for a photo? Be honest—were your legs screaming the whole time?
Oh, absolutely! Some of those Spider-Man poses are no joke. One of the most ridiculously uncomfortable ones was definitely the classic low crouch—with one hand on the ground and the other stretched out. Holding that while trying to look cool and heroic? Total challenge! My legs were on fire, my arms were shaking, and my balance was all over the place. But hey, anything for the perfect shot, right?

3. How does traveling impact your perspective as a teacher? Do you find yourself incorporating travel experiences into your lessons?
Traveling has had a huge impact on how I teach. Experiencing different cultures, languages, and worldviews naturally influences my approach in the classroom. It allows me to bring real-life examples to lessons, making them more engaging and relatable. It also helps me better understand and connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
4. You mentioned on TikTok that you make some of your props for cosplay. Which one was the most difficult to build and why?
The most difficult prop I’ve built is definitely the Mania symbiote headpiece. Since Mania is a lesser-known character, there were no templates or tutorials to follow—I had to design everything from scratch. Getting the shape right, making it wearable, and capturing that organic, symbiotic texture took a lot of trial and error. But the end result was totally worth it—it felt amazing to bring a unique character to life through my own creativity.
5. If you could bring any historical figure to Comic Con Portugal, who would it be, and what do you think they’d make of it all?
That’s such a fun question! I’d bring Leonardo da Vinci. Imagine him surrounded by all the cosplay magic and vibrant artist alley booths! I think he’d be fascinated by how costumes have become artistic expressions—especially something like the Iron Man suit, which might even spark a few new invention ideas in him. And digital art? He’d probably call it wizardry and spend hours learning how the tools work!

The Fun Side of Fandom: Secrets, Dreams & Digital Art
6. Imagine your pet could talk for one day. What’s the first embarrassing secret they’d reveal about you?
Oh, no doubt—they’d totally spill the secret about how I turn the house into a complete disaster during cosplay photoshoots! And of course, I’m usually not wearing my glasses, so I can’t even see the mess until much later!
7. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to achieve, but haven’t yet had the chance to?
Honestly, I try to live in the moment and enjoy the little things. I’m really happy with where I am—whether it’s cosplaying, teaching, or diving into art. I don’t feel pressured by big, unreachable goals. Every day brings new opportunities, and I love embracing them as they come.
8. Your ArtStation showcases amazing work. How does your approach to digital art differ from creating physical cosplays?
Thank you so much! While both digital art and cosplay require a lot of patience and attention to detail, they each spark different types of creativity. Digital art gives me the freedom to explore limitless ideas with imagination, while cosplay is incredibly fulfilling because I get to physically bring those ideas to life. They both inspire each other in a beautiful way.

9. What would be your advice to aspiring cosplayers and artists building their online presence?
Stay true to your unique style and passion. Authenticity stands out, and it’s what draws the right people to your work. Don’t be afraid to share your creative process—even the mistakes. It makes you more relatable. Be consistent, support others in the community, and don’t stress over perfection. Most importantly, have fun! When you enjoy what you do, that energy naturally attracts others.
10. Tell us about your love life.
Happily engaged!
🎭 What If Segment
If you woke up one day as the main character in your favorite comic, what’s the first thing you’d do (or avoid doing)?
First, I’d definitely freak out a little—imagine suddenly being surrounded by superheroes and villains! Then I’d get to work learning my powers ASAP. No way I’d just wing it!

2. If you had to choose a theme song for your life, what would it be, and does it match your personality at all?
That’s a tricky one! I think it depends on the season of life. There’s no perfect song, just the one that resonates in the moment. So yes, it fits—my personality is full of contrasts, from spontaneous to deeply reflective.
3. What legacy do you hope to leave behind, both as an artist and as an individual?
I hope to leave behind a legacy of creativity, passion, and authenticity. I want to inspire others to embrace their individuality and take creative risks without fear. It’s not about being remembered for one big achievement—it’s about creating an environment where others feel empowered to chase their dreams. If I can help even one person feel more confident in themselves, that’s everything.
4. If you could have any fictional superpower for a day, what would it be—and how would you abuse it… responsibly of course?
Teleportation, without a doubt! There’s always so much I want to do and so many places to be. Being able to just pop between destinations would be the ultimate productivity and adventure boost!
