1. Camilla, you’ve blended your love for anime and manga with cosplay so beautifully. What inspired you to start, and how did it grow into the amazing creations you share on TikTok?
I’ve always had a love for anime and manga. When I found out that it was possible to become my favorite characters, I jumped into it head-on. I love portraying the characters I admire and identify with. Moreover, I believe that sometimes embracing your inner child is good for the heart and soul.
2. Being an Italian Otaku seems like a fantastic blend of cultures! How does your Italian heritage influence your choice of characters or your overall approach to cosplay? Are there any specific Italian elements you like to incorporate?
I have never thought about incorporating my nationality into my cosplay. I pick characters I connect with to make my cosplay as accurate as possible.
3. We’ve heard you have a tattoo! Without going into details you don’t want to share, can you tell us a little bit about the story behind it and how it might connect to your personal passions or interests, whether cosplay-related or not?
I am covered in tattoos, and many of them are anime/manga-themed! Some represent my favorite characters, while others tell a story about me—experiences I’ve lived, symbols that define me, and much more.
4. TikTok has become a significant platform for cosplayers. What do you enjoy most about sharing your work on TikTok, and how has the platform impacted your cosplay journey and connection with your audience?
I’m not a big TikTok user, but I do post videos occasionally, mostly for fun. I also use the platform to watch advice and tutorials from other cosplayers, helping me improve my skills.
5. Is there anything about the real Camilla, away from the cosplay and TikTok spotlight, that you wish more people knew or understood about you?
During my teenage years, I went through some really sad and difficult moments. For me, cosplay has been a true lifesaver—it has helped me feel more confident, see myself as stronger and more beautiful, and pursue my passions and dreams. Additionally, I’ve met many wonderful people who believe in me and support what I do.
6. How do you define personal success, both within your cosplay journey and in your life beyond it? What truly makes you feel accomplished and fulfilled?
When it comes to cosplay, I know I’m not saying anything new, but when a child hugs me with joy, when I receive a smile or a kind word from someone who doesn’t even know me… for me, that’s the greatest happiness!
The same is true for everyday life—I want my presence to bring joy to the people around me. It’s as if I want to leave a trace of happiness in everyone I interact with.
And why not? Maybe even become an inspiration for someone.
7. Cosplay isn’t just about the costume; it’s also about the performance. How do you use your physicality – your posture, movement, and expression – to bring characters to life, and do you ever consider the physical challenges a character might face?
I always choose characters based on my body type and personality. I usually go for more mature and curvy characters because they resemble me, and I feel more confident and comfortable portraying them.
Of course, there are many ‘petite’ characters that I love and have even considered cosplaying, but I ultimately decided against it. I know I wouldn’t feel comfortable, and I wouldn’t do justice to characters so different from me.

When you have a completely free weekend, what does your perfect “me time” look like?
In my free time, I love reading (especially manga), crafting, doing photoshoots, and spending time with my family and my horse.
What kind of books or movies do you enjoy when you’re not immersed in games or crafting cosplay?
The books I prefer are fantasy and classic gothic novels. I enjoy almost all types of manga, but I’m obsessed with yaoi.I generally enjoy all kinds of films (The Lord of the Rings has always been my favorite), except for splatter horror films—I really can’t stand them.
